TETAMU TAK DI UNDANG

Laaa........pagi-pagi lagi dah tak de air.Baru keluarkan ikan kembung segar ( pemberian adik ipar yg turun ke laut semalam). Hmm nak masak macamana ni!

Sementara tu baik ku jenguk pokok-pokok bunga dan kebun kecil di belakang rumah! Sambil2 menyiram, cabut rumput....berpeluh jugak!Tak pe exercise kan bagus!

Kawasan yang saya duduk ni walaupun sebuah taman dalam sebuah kampung tapi ia tetap sejuk sebab still ada hutan......

Hah........ada tetamu tak diundang dalam taman ni dan belakang rumah!

Simple Breakfast

Hari ni seperti hari-hari sekolah yang biasa, kena bangun awal untuk menyiapkan sarapan & bekal untuk Dania ke sekolah.


Hah.....semalam for lunch masak lauk sardin....ada lebih tu simpan dalam fridge. So....breakfast pagi ni yang simple ialah Roti Sardin Gulung.......

ROTI SARDIN GULUNG

4-6 keping roti - saya guna roti Gardenia sebab lembut & rangup bila digoreng
                   
Inti Sardin - cili merah,bawang merah - ditumis dengan minyak
                 - masukkan sardin dan biar mendidih
                 - masukkan sedikit garam,gula & asam jawa
                 - kacau hingga masak

Roti digiling dgn roller sampai nipis, masukkan inti sardin dan gulung.Letak sedikit air untuk gamkan tepi roti.
Goreng dengan minyak yang sedikit. Hidang panas-panas....

Having Cucur on Sunday Morning

Salam Everybody.....have a good Sunday  !!! I know most of you are still in bed,snoozing & having sweet dreams..eventhough here in Marang,its a working/schooling day...

So....wats for breakfast this morning ....making breakfast or having it outside.If I'm in KL now most probably I'll be eating outside....so many choices!!!

As for me here, after sending Dania to school,I make Cucur Bawang, my own style & an all time  favourite since I was small until I have kids....and the family luvs it too....


Cucur Bawang My Style
 How to make Cucur  Bawang

2 cups of flour
1 1/2 cup of warm water - add some salt & stir
1 big onian - slice
smaal potion of anchovies or ikan bilis
Carrot - slice
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder

1. Add flour, warm water+salt into a big bowl.
2. Add onion,carrot & anchovies.Stir & mix well.
3. Add egg & a bit water if needed.
4.Put some oil in the frying pan and take a big spoonful of the mixed cucur & fry until brownish.
5.serve while it is hot with Chili/Thai Sos.

Kari Ikan Aye


Hari ni masak simple je ....lagipun tak tahu nak masak apa weekend ni.Tak sempat pergi pasar, jenguk-jenguk dalam fridge ada kepala Ikan aye @Tongkol......Hah buat kari lah dengan Telur Dadar & ulam budu.....favourite Hubby.....

RESEPI KARI IKAN AYE

Bahan -bahan:-

Kepala Ikan Aye atau 2 keping ikan pun boleh
4 ulas bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih - 2 ulas ditumbuk/2ulas dihiris
serbuk kari ikan
2 sudu besar cili kering - yg sudah diblend
daun kari,
cili hijau,tomato,cili padi
sedikit santan/saya gunakan sedikit susu cair sebab tak gunakan santan

Cara membuat:-

1.Tumbuk bawang merah dan 2 ulas bawang putih sehingga lumat
2.Masukkan serbuk kari dan cili kering kedalam bawang yg telah ditumbuk dan gaul dengan sedikit air.
3.Panaskan minyak dalam kuali.
4.Tumis daun kari & hirisan bawang putih. Kemudian masukkan bahan2 yg telah digaul tadi. Tumis kari sehingga naik bau.
5.Masukkan ikan aye dan sedikit air,biar hingga mendidih.
6.Masukkan sedkit garam,gula & susu cair.Biar hingga empuk.
7.Bila ikan sudah masak, masukkan tomato,cili hijau & cilipadi.
8.Sedia untuk dihidang

Bubur Ayam

Hari ni disebabkan Dania tak sehat,saya buatkan bubur ayam untuknya.
Selain ayam,saya masukkan hirisan carrot & sedikit ikan bilis goreng.

Resipi ringkas bubur ayam:-

Bahan-bahan:-
1 pot beras
sedikit halia
1/2 btg carrot
Hirisan isi ayam
sedkit garam

Cara membuatnys:-
1.Beras di basuh dan ditos.
2.Kemudian masukan beras kedalam periuk, isikan air secukupnya dan jerang lebih kurang 1jam.
3.Masukkan hirisan halia,ayam & carrot kedalam periuk.
4.Bubuh sedikit garam.Jika kurang air, tambahkan air hingga menjadi bubur.
5.Jika air kurang, tambah air hingga menjadi bubur.
6.Letakkan sedikit ikan bilis goreng sebelum dihidang.

UBAT

Petang semalam seperti kebiasaan,selepas hantar Dania pergi mengaji pada pukul 5ptg, kami akan singgah ke rumah K.Lah atas bukit tak jauh dari rumah kami.Sampai saje di depan rumah, nampak K.Lah & anaknya Ima sedang membonceng motosikal.

RM: Nak gi mana K.Lah ,Ima…..
Ima: nak gi ambik ubat…..(dengan senyum simpulnye)
RM: Ubat? Kat mana?Sapa sakit? (Tanya saya lagi)
Ima: Rumah Yati…nak pegi jomlah!
RM: ok……

Lepas tu kami pun berpatah balik turun bukit ke rumah Yati, anak sepupu kami di Perumahan Rakyat, tak jauh dari rumah K.Lah. Dalam perjalanan kesana Yaya (anak sulong saya) bertanya:
Yaya: Mama,K.Yati sakit apa?
Dania: he he he
Dania tergelak & Papa senyum saje…….Saya naik heran????
Papa: nak ambik ubat lah Yaya…..

Sampai je dirumah Yati….K.Lah & Ima tesenyum besar…..

Hmmmm  bukan Yati yg sakit dan nak ambik ubat tapi makna disebalik UBAT tu yg menggelikan hati.

Rupa-rupanya UBAT yg dimaksudkan tu adalah berita/info terkini…….(senang cite nak bergosip lah tu!!!!!!)

Apa  makanan yang baik & sehat untuk dihidangkan pada anak-anak?Mestilah makanan yg berkhasiat & mengikut pyramid makanan…..mesti banyakkan sayur & buah-buahan,susu & kekacang etc. Tapi tak semua budak suka sayur….Lucky my daughter Dania suka carrot,timun & fruits tapi my youngest son Arash…..he is weird tak makan nasi….his daily food is milk, biscuit – Tiger/Hup Seng & bread (only Gardenia)…..kadang2 makan kepok lekor,keropok keeping & roti Canai (Only specific pembuat keropok & roti canai yg di buat oleh Pak Man)
Kadang2 buntu fikiran ni nak pikir apa yg nak dimasak untuk hidangan sekeluarga terutamanya anak2…..lain anak, lain makanan kegemaran ! Pening,pening

The Food Guide Pyramid is one way for people to understand how to eat healthy. A rainbow of colored, vertical stripes represents the five food groups plus fats and oils. Here's what the colors stand for:
  
*       orange — grains
*       green — vegetables
*       red — fruits

*       blue — milk and dairy products
*       purple — meat, beans, fish, and nuts
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) changed the Pyramid in 2005 because they wanted to do a better job of telling Americans how to be healthy. The agency later released a special version for kids. Notice the hiker climbing up the side? That's a way of showing kids how important it is to exercise and be active every day. In other words, play a lot! The steps are also a way of saying that you can make changes little by little to be healthier. One step at a time, get it
The Pyramid Speaks
Let's look at some of the other messages this symbol is trying to send:
Eat a variety of foods. A balanced diet is one that includes all the food groups. In other words, have foods from every color, every day.
Eat less of some foods, and more of others. You can see that the bands for meat and protein (purple) and oils (yellow) are skinnier than the others. That's because you need less of those kinds of foods than you do of fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy foods.
You also can see the bands start out wider and get thinner as they approach the top. That's designed to show you that not all foods are created equal, even within a healthy food group like fruit. For instance, apple pie would be in that thin part of the fruit band because it has a lot of added sugar and fat. A whole apple — crunch! — would be down in the wide part because you can eat more of those within a healthy diet.
Make it personal. Through the USDA's MyPyramid website, people can get personalized recommendations about the mix of foods they need to eat and how much they should be eating. There is a kids' version of the website available too.
How Much Do I Need to Eat?
Everyone wants to know how much they should eat to stay healthy. It's a tricky question, though. It depends on your age, whether you're a girl or a boy, and how active you are. Kids who are more active burn more calories, so they need more calories. But we can give you some estimates for how much you need of each food group.
Grains
Grains are measured out in ounce equivalents. What the heck are they? Ounce equivalents are just another way of showing a serving size.
Here are ounce equivalents for common grain foods. An ounce equivalent equals:
*       1 slice of bread
*       ½ cup of cooked cereal, like oatmeal
*       ½ cup of rice or pasta
*       1 cup of cold cereal
* 4- to 8-year-olds need 4-5 ounce equivalents each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old girls need 5 ounce equivalents each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old boys need 6 ounce equivalents each day.
And one last thing about grains: Try make at least half of your grain servings whole grains, such as 100% whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and oatmeal.
Vegetables
Of course, you need your vegetables, especially those dark green and orange ones. But how much is enough? Vegetable servings are measured in cups.
* 4- to 8-year-olds need 1½ cups of veggies each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old girls need 2 cups of veggies each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old boys need 2½ cups of veggies each day.
Fruits
Sweet, juicy fruit is definitely part of a healthy diet. Here's how much you need:
* 4- to 8-year-olds need 1-1½ cups of fruit each day.
* 9- to 13-year-olds need 1½ cups of fruit each day.
Milk and Other Calcium-Rich Foods
Calcium builds strong bones to last a lifetime, so you need these foods in your diet.
* 4- to 8-year-olds need 2 cups of milk (or another calcium-rich food) each day.
* 9- to 13-year-olds need 3 cups of milk (or another calcium-rich food) each day.
If you want something other than milk, you can substitute yogurt, cheese, or calcium-fortified orange juice — just to name a few.
Meats, Beans, Fish, and Nuts
These foods contain iron and lots of other important nutrients. Like grains, these foods are measured in ounce equivalents.
An ounce equivalent of this group would be:
*       1 ounce of meat, poultry, or fish
*       ¼ cup cooked dry beans
*       1 egg
*       1 tablespoon of peanut butter
*       ½ ounce (about a small handful) of nuts or seeds
* 4- to 8-year-olds need 3-4 ounce equivalents each day.
* 9- to 13-year-olds need 5 ounce equivalents each day.
Whoa! That's a lot to swallow. The good news is that your mom, dad, and the other grownups in your life will help you eat what you need to stay healthy. There's more good news — you don't have to become a perfect eater overnight. Just remember those stairs climbing up the side of the Pyramid and take it one step at a time.
